Where to find the add inventory section

To create a new listing for your stock, the first thing you will need to do is click on the "inventory" menu option on the left-hand side of Autogate.

From here, you will have an option to "add inventory", shown below.

Note: if you are unable to see this option, you may not have the necessary user permissions. Please contact an admin at your dealership to have these upgraded. You can find out who you admin is by going to the user management section within Autogate.

 

Finding your item

To find your item, use the range of options on the left-hand side to narrow down your search.

Once you have narrowed down your search, and have made sure that the item matches your stock, click on it to progress to the next step. You will be prompted with a message asking if this is the item you're looking for; clicking yes will allow you to fill out specific item information.

Once you are done, click on "save" at the bottom of the page. Please note, all fields with a red border must be filled out. All fields with an orange field are optional, however we recommend filling them out to get better results from your ad.

 

Lifestyle, Leisure & Industry

For all other verticals, you will first need to choose the category which is relevant to your stock item, an example is as follows:

Once you've clicked on a category, you will be prompted to fill out all of the information of the item you have chosen.

Once you are done, click on "save" at the bottom of the page. Please note, all fields with a red border must be filled out. All fields with an orange field are optional, however we recommend filling them out to get better results from your ad.

 

I can't find my item?

If you are unable to find the item you have in stock, this may be because the item isn't available in our Redbook data. In this instance, you are able to request the item using the following button on the top right of your screen.

From here, you will need to fill out as much detail as possible to assist our Redbook researchers. If the item does not exist in Autogate, they will work to have the item available for you to choose. Please note that you will receive a response via email with updates.

Uploading photos & videos

Photos

To upload photos to your listing, you will first need to find the item within your inventory and click on it to bring up a detailed view. From here, click on the "edit" button.

You will see a range of options on the left-hand side, click on "photos".

On the photos page, you can either:

- upload photos by clicking the blue 'upload' button

- drag and drop photos by holding them and moving them around

- rotate photos by clicking on the little light blue icon.

Videos

If you have a subscription that gives you access to videos, you will have the option to upload videos to each of your stock items.

This can be found once you click on an item on your inventory page, it is located next to the 'photos' tab shown below:

Once you have uploaded a video, sit tight, as it will be reviewed by our admin team before being added to your live listing. This process can take up to 48 hours.

Note: we recommend videos are less than 60 seconds for best results.

 

Publishing your ad

To publish the item, you will need to find it within your inventory, click on it, and navigate to the top right hand corner of the listing. Moving the sliders from red to green will publish it to the live site and/or other publishing destinations you have set up on your account.

Once it has moved to green, the ad will now be on the live site, and consumers will be able to interact with your ad.
